PART-TIME HEAD LIFEGUARD (RECREATION DEPARTMENT)


Salary $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
Must be 19 years of age or older to apply. 
Proof of completion of American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Health Care Provider is required. Previous experience is preferred.
  
This position will work Monday – Friday evenings, 5pm – 9/9:30pm. Performs all required duties of a lifeguard, including but not limited to guarding the pool, cleaning, and customer service. Will be the person responsible for the facility when the Aquatics Director is not present. Will be required to manage evening staff and oversee all closing duties. May provide instruction in other aquatic programs as needed. Must take part in in-service training programs to improve life guarding skills. PART-TIME SWIM INSTRUCTOR (RECREATION DEPARTMENT)


Salary - $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
Must be 16 years of age or older to apply. Must be able to swim. 
Previous experience either on a swim team or teaching lessons is required. 
ASCA or WSI certification preferred.
 
Responsible for teaching group and private swim lessons to ages 6 months – adult. Will mostly teach ages 6 months – 8 years. Will work 2-4 days per week per session. Sessions run for 3 weeks at a time. Evening only lessons in the spring, morning and evening lessons in the summer. We will provide most of the lesson plans and skills to teach, but instructor must know skills already and must be able to put together a lesson plan if needed. PART-TIME LIFEGUARD (RECREATION DEPARTMENT)


Starting Salary - $7.40 per hour
Must be 16 years of age or older to apply.

Performs responsible semi-skilled and routine protective service work in supervising the safe use of public swimming facilities by pool visitors and aids troubled bathers in emergencies; does related work as required. Responsible for maintaining discipline at a swimming pool, observes actions of swimmers and enforces water safety rules and pool rules. Responsible for providing emergency lifesaving services to swimmers in need. May provide instruction in other aquatic programs.
