The City of Burlington, Habitat for Humanity of Alamance County and Alamance County Community Services Agency, Inc. are collaborating to complete the development of Apple Tree Village on Apple.
Under the agreement, ACCSA will develop five lots; Habitat will build on 6 lots; and the remaining lot will jointly be developed as a playground and community garden. Habitat homeowners living in the Apple Tree Village will also be able to take advantage of the programs and services offered by ACCSA.

For a home through ACCSA family must meet the following criteria:
Be an Alamance County resident.
Have an annual income between $26,650-$42,650 based on HUD income limits for a family of 4, adjusted for family size.
Be a first-time homebuyer or have not owned a home during the past three years.
Have a reasonable credit risk. (Families with credit problems are also encouraged to apply)
ACCSA will pre-qualify families, through its home ownership program. ACCSA will provide pre-home ownership assistance and counseling such as budgeting, credit counseling, information and referrals so that families may pre-qualify for a mortgage.
