Thataways Youth Center

Thataways Youth Center is located at 1331 Overbrook Road and is part of the Burlington City Park. Recent renovations include updated bathrooms, paint, floor, and office space. The facility is home of the Burlington Youth Council and the Teen To Teen Theatre and has something to offer every age.

Rentals are commonly attracted to Thataways. It serves as a great place for family reunions, wedding receptions, birthdays, or any event that you can think of. Thataways can add music to any occasion or event from a library of songs. The facility houses 2 pool tables, 2 foosball tables, and multiple arcade games to keep you occupied.

Teen 2 Teen Video & Theatre Premiere Party for Short Films: "The Cutting Truth" & "Dosed"

Cost: Free (Includes free popcorn)
Ages: 13 & older recommended
Come support teens in our community by viewing 2 new films that were created and produced by the young participants of the recent Teen 2 Teen Theatre & Video Summer Film Lab. 

"Thataween" Thataways Annual Middle School Halloween Dance
Saturday, October 21 • 7-10 PM
Cost: $8 per person *Dinner Included*
Ages: Middle School Students
It's Halloween again at Thataways so come dressed in your costume to celebrate! Activities for the night include: Halloween trivia, a selfie station, dancing, prizes, and corn hole. Arcade games, billiards, and concessions will be available for a small cost. 

Hunter Education Course
Saturday October 21 • 9 AM - 4 PM
All Ages (recommended for ages 12 and older)
Course Fee: Free
The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and Burlington Recreation & Parks presents the Hunter Education Course. This course is designed to promote the safe handling of firearms and archery equipment, teach responsible, ethical conduct by hunters, educate sportsmen in the various methods and the proper use of equipment harvesting game, and endorse the importance of wildlife management laws and regulations. Participants will receive their Hunter's Safety Certification and badge after passing a written exam. For more information or to register visit www.ncwildlife.org. Participants must be registered.
