On 04/24/2012 at approximately 0915 hours, family of Debra Dianne Sellars, B/F age 43, reported her missing. Sellars was last seen at her residence on Beaumont Ave. at approximately 1630 hours on Friday, 04/20/2012. Sellars is described as a back female, 5’8”, average build, with brown eyes and brown hair. She may be wearing a white, ankle-length, sun dress with dark colored flip flop style shoes.

She was operating a burgundy 2000 Ford Windstar with the North Carolina Registration of AME-6985.

The Burlington Police Department announces that on July 9th, 2012 Governor Beverly E. Perdue signed a proclamation offering a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual/s responsible for the disappearance and suspected murder of Debra Dianne Sellars. Crimestoppers has paid up to $2,500.00 dollars in similar cases. One year ago today the skeletal remains of Debra Dianne Sellars were discovered in the rural northern part of Alamance County. The cause of death has been ruled as a homicide by the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office.

Update:

Today the Burlington Police Department arrested Rodney Lee Enoch black, male D.O.B 8-02-1971 from the Alamance County Jail, where he was awaiting trial on unrelated domestic violence charges. Enoch was charged with 1st degree murder for his involvement in the death of Debra Dianne Sellars.

The investigation identified that Sellars and Enoch were involved in a dating relationship at the time of her death.

After being charged Enoch was remitted to the Alamance County Jail and is being held there with no bond.
