    Don't paddle alone! Come meet other people who love being on the water and enjoy a leisurely, guided group paddle on beautiful Mackintosh Lake! Bring your own boat or rent one of ours. Paddlers will have a guide who provides basic instruction as needed and leads the group on the lake. Rental fee includes kayak, PFD, paddle and guide. For ages 13 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required. Register online at www.burlingtonnc.gov/outdoors or call 336-222-5030.

  5. Fall Foliage Hike at Guilford Mackintosh

    October 28, 2018, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Guilford Mackintosh Park and Marina

    .Grab a friend and get out for a walkabout in the woods! This hike is 3 miles on natural surface trail over rolling, natural surface (roots, rocks, etc.) terrain with a few steep hills. Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots. Bring a water bottle and an extra layer. Trekking poles recommended. All ages welcome. Age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs welcome! The hike starts promptly at 1:30. Plan to arrive about 10 minutes prior to start time. Meet in the circular parking area at the end of the park road near the trail head. Registration required.
