  1. Community Improvement Program All Zone Meeting

April 4, 2018, 5:30 PM @ John Robert Kernodle Senior Center

In April, the City will begin implementing a new, strategic approach to code and zoning enforcement. This new approach, the Community Improvement Program, is designed to improve aesthetics and promote safety in neighborhoods around the city, increasing quality of life for residents and encouraging economic development. The City recently completed 5 neighborhood meetings, one in each of the 5 Community Improvement Program Zones. An additional meeting has been scheduled for 5:30pm on April 4 at the Kernodle Senior Center, located at 1535 South Mebane Street. This meeting is open to anyone in the City, regardless of the Zone in which they live. During the meeting, the staff will explain the new process by which codes will be enforced in the City. Enforcement officers will be present to meet the residents and answer any individual questions they may have about the new program or about concerns they have with code violations in their neighborhood.
