The Mayco Bigelow Community Center is a 14,500 square foot facility housing a large gym with seating for 470, kitchen, meeting space, library and game room complete with coin-operated video games, pool, air hockey, Pump it Up (FX) DDR and a big screen TV. 

Outside, the park is equipped with a softball field, outdoor basketball courts, walking track, playgrounds, two open-air shelters with picnic tables, one 40x80 shelter with central air/heat, a kitchen and a handicapped restroom. During the summer, North Park Pool is open (Memorial Day-Labor Day) and has a full bathhouse and splash pad.

Rental Fees

The Mayco Bigelow Center has an activity room, gym and the Sertoma Building available for rental for family reunions, churches, or large gatherings. To schedule a rental, please call the center at (336) 222-5138.

Fees All facility deposit fees will be returned after the rental has been inspected and found to be clean. The deposit fee is returned if the event ends on time. All rentals require signed contracts and payment. Attendance determines Supervisory Staff needed. 

Activity Room 

• City Residents/Non-Residents: $150 + $25 Supervisory Fee + $100 Facility Deposit

Gymnasium 

• Type A - for Gym only: local athletics, non-profit, civic, religious groups. 
  • Minimum use: 2 hours. Fees are for both Resident and Non-Residents.
  • $120 + $25 per hour Supervisory Fee, $100 Facility Deposit + $25 Late Fee 
  • Additional Hours: $25 per hour + $25 per hour Supervisory Fee
• Type B - for entire facility: Civic, local athletics, non-profit commercial program where admission is charged, tickets, contributions taken or merchandise is sold. 
  • 8 hour rental. Fees are for both Resident and Non-Residents.
  • $185 + $25 per hour Supervisory Fee, $100 Facility Deposit + $25 Late Fee 
  • Additional Hours: $25 per hour + $25 per hour Supervisory Fee
• Type C - for entire facility: commercial program by individual or organization for private gain. 
  • 8 hour rental. Fees are for both Resident and Non-Residents.
  • $375 + $25 per hour Supervisory Fee, $100 Facility Deposit + $25 Late Fee 
  • Additional Hours: $25 per hour + $25 per hour Supervisory Fee

Sertoma Building

The Sertoma Building is an enclosed shelter with central heat and A/C, kitchen and accessible restrooms. Nestled beneath shade trees and with two playgrounds nearby, the Sertoma Building serves as an excellent location for family gatherings up to 100 people.

• City Residents/Non-Residents: $175 + $25 Supervisory Fee + $100 Facility Deposit
