City staff provides an introductory overview of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) and performs an interactive demonstration on how to find the zoning of a property and determine whether a use is permitted in the district. This workshop is targeted to members of the business community and general public who are interested in learning more about how to look up zoning inquiries, allowable land uses, and development standards (e.g., appraisers, realtors, and developers).

UDO Live Workshop - Are We Getting it Right? - April 21, 2022

On April 21, 2022, City staff along with Mr. Chad Meadows, CodeWright Planners, provided an overview of the UDO and the several Text Amendments that have come forward since its date of effect, November 1, 2019. Mr. Meadows facilitated a discussion around the question of, “Are we getting it right?” so as to ascertain how the UDO is positively or negatively affecting development opportunity in Burlington.
