Water Safety for Parents and Caregivers (PAC) Training
Children should be carefully supervised around the water - even when lifeguards are present. This FREE ~25 minute online American Red Cross water safety training focuses on developing an awareness of drowning risks and how to minimize them, especially for young children. Parents and caregivers (age 18+) who submit a course completion certificate* will be permitted to supervise an additional child age 6-15 yrs when visiting City of Burlington Aquatic Facilities.
Supervision rules for those WITHOUT Water Safety PAC Training: Children 15 yrs. and under must be accompanied in the facility by a responsible adult 18 years or older. Max 3 children per adult. If any child is 5 or under, the max is 2 children per adult.
Supervision rules for those WITH Water Safety PAC Training: Children 15 yrs. and under must be accompanied in the facility by a responsible adult 18 years or older. Max 4 children per adult - with max of 2 being age 5 or younger.
