The latest addition to Burlington’s extensive park system opened September 1st, 2004 with a wide array of athletic activity.  Burlington’s Springwood Park, a 78-acre gem sits nestled in the suburbs of Burlington in Guilford County.  The park can be found at the corner of Springwood Church Road and Whitsett Park Road, a short drive from both Highway 70 and I-85/40.

A wide array of activities are featured at the park including regulation fields for baseball, softball and soccer, two concession/restroom buildings, two picnic shelters available to rent, a playground, and a walking track.

It is the goal of the Department to offer sporting events at Springwood for various levels of competition.  From local leagues to regional and national play, the park continues to be full of activity throughout the year.  There is currently a great demand for baseball, softball and soccer tournaments at the facility and with its convenient location to I-85/40 at exit 138, the park draws many visitors to the area with the hopes of creating a great economic impact for our City.
